9. Can you help if my loved one has complex medical or behavioral needs?
Yes. We specialize in matching seniors with appropriate communities that can manage a range of needs,
including chronic conditions, mobility challenges, memory care requirements, and limited mental
conditions.
10. What is the difference between senior living and a skilled nursing facility?
Senior living and skilled nursing facilities serve different levels of care needs:
Senior Living typically includes options like independent living, assisted living, and
memory care. These communities offer support with daily activities (such as meals,
housekeeping, and medication management) in a more residential, social environment. Medical
care is usually limited to basic support and is not intended for individuals who need intensive
medical supervision.
Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), often referred to as nursing homes, provide 24/7
medical care and rehabilitation services under the supervision of licensed nurses and doctors.
These are ideal for individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or those with chronic medical
conditions requiring ongoing care.
At Golden Rule, we help families determine which option best fits their loved one’s needs—whether they
need a little extra help or comprehensive medical care.
11. Do you work with all senior living communities?
We partner with a network of licensed, reputable communities that meet our standards of care and
transparency. We do not work with facilities that don’t meet regulatory or ethical standards.
12. How do we get started?
Simply complete our online client profile form. We’ll then review your completed client profile, schedule
a 30-minute complimentary consultation, and procure a signed service agreement and a refundable
administrative retainer (returned upon placement). We then can continue with the process of finding the
best options for your loved one.
